About This Content The Great Western Main Line from Oxford to Paddington is a bustling thoroughfare, taking passengers and freight from the west of England into London, and you can drive your own high speed services and freight trains along this busy route in Train Simulator. The line originally opened way back in the 1830s as part of Brunel’s fantastic Great Western Railway, which was designed to have as few challenging gradients as possible to benefit running speed. Today, the line is one of Britain’s busiest, carrying thousands of commuters every day and handling large amounts of freight. The Oxford-Paddington line in Train Simulator runs from London Paddington to Oxford Station via Reading and includes a variety of modern passenger and freight trains to drive, as well as some challenging scenarios to put your driving skills to the test.Scenarios:8 scenarios:Autumn Leaves Chasing YellowsLost in the ShuffleOxford to Reading LocalReturn TicketRush Hour RunDuff CoalOxford BoundKey FeaturesOxford-Paddington Great Western Main Line including Didcot Parkway, Reading and Old Oak CommonClass 43 High Speed Train (HST) in First Great Western livery (two versions)Class 166 DMU in First Great Western livery (two versions) and Network Southeast liveryClass 47 in BR Railfreight, BR Blue and Rail Express liveries Please note: if you have already purchased RailWorks or Train Simulator 2012, you already have this route and its contents. b4d347fde0 Title: Train Simulator: Great Western Main Line Route Add-OnGenre: SimulationDeveloper:Dovetail GamesPublisher:Dovetail Games - TrainsFranchise:Train SimulatorRelease Date: 18 Sep, 2012 Train Simulator: Great Western Main Line Route Add-On Portable This is the best route EVER! It gives you so much high detailed track with incredibly good trains and highly detailed stations. If you like freight, high speed or slow trains this is the add on for you. And all this for £5.99 and if there is a sale then for just £2.39. The only thing that i dont like about it is that the class 166 has a weak brake and slow start and that the route doesnt have enough electric tracks so i cant use my high speed trains on it. Otherwise I give it 10/10. Solid product, and great deal at today's prices. Plenty of detail and character, if lacking in traffic in QD (but to be expected at this age). Recommendend wholeheartedly.. This route is a fantastic route. It's incredibly detailed andvery worth the £9.99 if you canget it on the sale then great! It's a fantastic route with beautiful locos, realistic sounds beautiful scenery one of the best routes Dovetail Games has actually ever made so all in all if you are starting your collection or expanding it then this route is a perfect buy!I would certainly reccomend it especially for the £2.99 price on the slae at the moment!Love it i would give it 5* out of 5p.s this route is not that graphically demanding so it won't put your pc under too much strain which isareleif unlike some of the newer routes.:). This route is extremely cheap and it is really enjoyable to play. It has many trains and some good scenarios. I would like to see a bit more detail on some of the stations like Oxford however. I would definitley reccommend this route to anyone thinking about buying!. terrible routeneeds update with the following:1: Electrification2: GWR HST, Class 387, Class 165/1, 166, 153, 150/0, 150/1, 150/2, 150/9, 08, 800, 802, 57/6, Mark 3 Coaches, 158, Heathrow Connect Class 360 and Heathrow Express Class 3323: Branch Lines to Heathrow Airport, West Ealing, Windsor & Eton Central, Marlow, Henley-on-Thames and extension to Cardiff Central, Penzance, Cheltenham Spa & the Reading-Taunton Line. Dated but fun to drive. I only got it as it was dirt cheap at a sale.. love the route to drive on wasting what the particular train burns.. Wow this is some good quality DLC and for a very good price (£5.99). Cant fault it and I wish all the DLC was like this. For the price of a sandwich and a drink you can get hours of entertainment from the route and its locos. Simliar DLC can set you back 30 quid.. love the route to drive on wasting what the particular train burns.. Amazing. Truely one of the best Euroupean DLC route on Steam! The price is good and you get a lot of trains/qualities with it. The route is a medium-large size and it comes with many liveries. Now I get to acutally use my NSE Class 47 with a scneario. TRUELY amazing. 10/10
